Helping to promote an independent band is perhaps the biggest contribution you can make to independent art. If you are interested in volunteering as a Street Team member email info@tamarasrocks.com. No amount of help is too small, and your support is always appreciated. The following are additional ways in which you can contribute to the survival of independent music. Please consider these actions as ways to contribute to the sustenance and sustainability of ALL independent artists whose work you respect! If Tamaras is coming to your city, you can help promote the performance by... |

Word of mouth is the easiest, cheapest and most effective form of supporting independent artists. Tell everyone you know! Play Tamaras’ music for your friends, family, community! Including e-mails to your friends, listing her shows on e-group list serves, message boards, events Web pages, etc… Tell other bands or artists that you respect about Tamaras and then send them to Tamaras’ Web site and/or e-mail their contact information to us at info@tamarasrocks.com. This creates networks and supports the musical community. Spread
the word and get new ears to the next local performance! The independent
music world depends on it. |
If Tamaras
is coming to your city, we need people who will poster or flyer for us.
We can send you these documents via the post, or else send you the raw
materials electronically. Postering includes putting posters in radio
stations, women's centers, favorite cafes, workplace bulletin boards,
etc. Some of these latter locations are more effective because they
are not torn down by city workers. We can also provide music demos
to pass around your community to encourage people to come out to the shows. |

If you see any publications you think would be a good fit for Tamaras’ music, contact us at info@tamarasrocks.com.We don’t know all the promotional outlets in a city, fact is, the contacts of these publications change regularly and it is impossible for our small team to keep up with them all. If surfing the Web, and you find a great site that reviews or does profiles on artists or bands and think that they would be a great place for Tamaras’ music to be profiled, email us the info at info@tamarasrocks.com.

Tamaras’ CDs are available in selected record stores across the U.S and Japan. Request Tamaras’ cd’s at your local record store and let them know you want to see more independent artists in their stores, then encourage your friends to buy them from the stores directly. Tell us what record stores you requested Tamaras at and we will follow up with the store and try to get her music in there. Do not forget to do this for all indie artists you think should be visible and available in record store. If you have
one or some of Tamaras’ albums, please feel free to play them for your
friends or family etc…but please do not encourage burning. It
takes a lot of capital to produce a good album. It is vital to the
independent art world that people purchase their own copies if
they can. |
